Surrey and Open Combined Events Championships and another victory for Brian

At Carshalton in Surrey Brian turned his hand to the Pentathlon in the Surrey and Open Championships.  It started with the Long Jump with him improving with every jump for a season’s best performance. He won the Javelin with a best for 3 years with 36.35m. The 200m is always tricky in not always great conditions for wind and times again it was solid. The Discus was not his best but good preparation for upcoming competitions. The final event was again in preparation for the weeks ahead and a solid 6.13.77 1500m was enough to win by a big overall margin and 3182 points.
