Eastbourne Rovers were out in force on Sunday 12th at the annual Eastbourne 5 race on the seafront. No less than 17 Rovers raced, and a large contingent from the club were marshalling and supporting.
The race is billed as an early season road race in the build up to half marathon season and beyond.
The weather was ideal, many seafront races are often afflicted by the weather, but it was cool and calm, with lightest of drizzle in the later stages.
Second claim Eastbourne athlete Patrick Marsden took the win 27:14, though running for Polegate Plodders.
Stuart Pelling ran a fantastic 28:25 to finish 3rd overall.
Nicky Bignell took 2nd female in 36:46.
